Eco-Cities – Planning, Design, Development and Management Practices
Ecocities are defined as cities in balance with nature. They are modeled to create the self-sustaining resilient structure and function of natural ecosystems and to reduce cities` impact on the environment. There is an increasing awareness of ecocities all around the world. This ecologically sustainable urban development model has been used to build new cities and to establish urban renovation projects.
In this context the goal of the symposium is to cover planning, design, development, and management practices of ecocities at different scales. This symposium will bring together researchers and experts from countries with different backgrounds to discuss and provide ideas and illustration of ecocity solutions for creating resilient ecocities.
